In keeping with our understanding of the pattern set down in the New Testament, our church oversight consists of:

• A pastor - responsible for teaching and pastoral work in the church.
• Elders - The elders, including the pastor, provide leadership and guidance to the church.
• Deacons (or "servants") - responsible for managing the practical aspects of the fellowship, including management of the building, finance and administration. The deacons include the secretary and treasurer.

Pastor Leslie Hutchinson taught history in a Belfast grammar school for ten years before going to the Irish Baptist College to train for the ministry. After leaving the college he became pastor of Strandtown Baptist Church in June 1986 where he served for the next 22 and a half years. Leslie was inducted to the pastorate at Ballycrochan on the 6th of February 2009. He is married to Heather and they have four grown children – Colin, Emma, Lucy and Peter.
